This week's legislative wrap-up contains updates including:

  • The Workers’ Compensation Research Institute released its report this week on Indemnity Benefits, Use of Medical Care & Economic Conditions, giving an insight on how labor market trends could shape future benefit payments in workers’ compensation systems, emphasizing data from the effects of the 2008 recession and 2020 pandemic.
  • New York Workers’ Compensation Board (NYSWCB) issued a statement this week regarding the rollout of its new business information system, OnBoard intended to offer stakeholders a more accessible and more efficient way of interacting with the board.
  • Meanwhile in Minnesota, PTSD claims from the Minneapolis Police Department following the death of George Floyd continue to cause financial woes for the Midwest city.
