COVID-19 presumption for nurses in TX

What's happening this week in workers' compensation? IWP's weekly legislative wrap-up, State of the States, keeps you up to date on important matters within the workers' compensation and pharmacy arena.

This week's legislative wrap-up contains updates including:

  • The New York Workers' Compensation Board announced that the final implementation date of the state's workers' compensation drug formulary will be delayed.
  • In Texas, the legislature is pre-filing bills for the 2021 session, including a bill that would establish a presumption of compensability of COVID-19 for nurses within the state.
  • With the end of the 2020 special session coming to a close in Minnesota, the House is taking up another COVID-19 bill that would establish a presumption for educators in the state.
