This week's legislative wrap-up contains updates including:

  • A new bill working its way through the Michigan Senate would presume that police officers, firefighters, emergency medical personnel, and correctional officers who contracted COVID-19 did so in the scope of their employment and are thus eligible for workers' compensation benefits.
  • In Ohio, the Governor signed a new bill that appropriates funding for the Bureau of Workers' Compensation and reduces the statute of limitations for an occupational disease claim.
  • The Industrial Commission of Arizona (ICA) will hold a hearing regarding its proposed fee schedule on Thursday, June 29, at 1 PM MST.
