Michael Gavin joined Injured Workers Pharmacy as President and Chief Executive Officer in 2017. As President and CEO, Michael leads the company’s efforts in providing uninterrupted prescription care to injured workers across the country. Michael has extensive experience in the insurance and medical treatment markets, providing strategic advisory services to hospital boards and medical staff and serving as the Vice President of Operations for a health services pay-for-performance start-up. Most recently, Michael served as the President of PRIUM, a medical peer review firm providing services to payers in the workers’ compensation and auto markets. Michael holds an M.B.A. from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School, as well as a B.S.B.A. degree in Finance from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business.
Barbara joined IWP in 2019 as Chief Financial Officer. She brings with her more than 20 years of experience in finance and accounting leadership roles, most recently as CFO for PharmBlue, LLC. Prior to PharmBlue, she served as the CFO for Foundation Radiology Group and Vice President of Finance, Specialty Pharmacy for Walgreens Health Services. She brings extensive transactional experience and a keen knowledge of the healthcare industry. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Accounting from California State University and an MBA in Healthcare Management from the University of Phoenix.
Pam joined IWP in 2012 as the Vice President of Strategy and Business Development. Pam now serves as Chief Operating Officer, where she is accountable for horizontal, end to end operations from initial patient intake, clinically focused pharmacy fulfillment, information technology advancements, and claims accounts receivables management and cash collections.
Pam brings with her 25 years’ experience in the workers’ compensation and insurance fields. Throughout her career, she has held diverse leadership roles in client relationship management, operations and underwriting with Sedgwick, Specialty Risk Services and The Hartford. She received a Bachelor of Arts, Management and Masters of Business Administration from California State University, Fullerton.
Ray Ozambela joined IWP in 2019 as the Vice President of Sales. Ray manages the development and implementation of the IWP sales strategies, working with both the Regional Sales Managers and field sales team to achieve company objectives for growth and profit. Prior to joining IWP, Ray served as the Senior VP of Sales & Marketing with Aurora Diagnostics and brings with him 12 years of experience in anatomic pathology and dermatopathology sales. Before starting his career in sales, Ray served as a Marine Officer for 13 years as a Naval Aviator. His time in the service culminated with a 4-year tour as a presidential helicopter pilot. Ray has a Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Florida.
Jeff Torres joined IWP in 2020 as Chief Compliance Officer and leads the company’s compliance, audit, and risk management programs. He brings over 20 years of experience as an attorney and compliance professional to the role. He previously served as Chief Compliance Officer for DaVita Rx, a mail-order pharmacy specializing in chronic disease medications, and Senior Vice President, Compliance, at IlliniCare Health, one of the nation’s largest Medicaid health plans. Jeff also led the U.S. Compliance organization for a Mars, Inc. subsidiary comprised of over 1,000 veterinary hospitals throughout the country. Before going in-house, Jeff was a Partner with a large international law firm. Jeff holds a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School, an M.B.A. from Pacific Lutheran University, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Notre Dame. He is a U.S. Army veteran and is licensed to practice law in D.C., Illinois, Texas, and Washington.
As the Vice President of Legal, Government Affairs and Communications, Jayne is responsible for creating IWP’s national legislative strategy as well as monitoring regulations and legislation that affect the IWP community. Prior to joining IWP, Jayne served as executive director of an Arlington, Virginia-based organization where she was responsible for the overall development, management, and administration of the firm’s programs to achieve the policy goals established by its board of directors. She has extensive state and federal legislative experience, including on Capitol Hill, on the Connecticut House of Representatives Legal Team and gubernatorial campaigns. Jayne earned her J.D. from Quinnipiac University and holds a B.S. in business from Babson College, and is admitted to the Massachusetts and the District of Columbia Bars.
As the Sr. Director of Clinical Operations with Injured Workers Pharmacy, Neil oversees IWP’s dispensing, clinical, and pharmacy regulatory responsibilities of all 50 states. Prior to his time with IWP, Neil owned and operated an independent retail pharmacy in Massachusetts. He received a Doctorate in Pharmacy from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and holds a current Pharmacist License in 20 states.
Neil has a passion for quality patient-pharmacist interaction to increase a pharmacist’s clinical effectiveness.
