What's happening this week in workers' compensation? IWP's weekly legislative wrap-up, **State of the States**, keeps you up to date on important matters within the workers' compensation and pharmacy arena.

**This week's legislative wrap-up contains updates including:**

- California finally passed AB 5, giving gig economy workers access to workers' compensation coverage, sick days, and minimum wage.
- The New York Workers' Compensation Board has released unexpected rules that would make it harder on injured workers seeking to reopen their claims
- Pennsylvania Legislature will conclude their 2019 legislative session and discuss the potential adoption of HB432

This edition also includes updates in Illinois and nationwide.
