This week's legislative wrap-up contains updates including:

  • The New York Senate Labor committee is considering a bill that would authorize occupational therapy assistants and physical therapy assistants to treat workers' compensation claimants.
  • A new law in Maine that places increased fees and oversight on opioid manufacturers who are doing business in the state went into effect this past weekend.
  • The first workers' compensation bill has been filed in the Oklahoma senate. The bill could potentially cause employers to be liable for both torts and workers' compensation claims.
